Sarah died on 27 September 1854 in Shottisham aged 41 from a disease of the lungs. Her occupation was given as wife of Samuel, a husbandman.

Samuel was living with his third wife in Sutton, Suffolk in 1881.

Samuel is buried in the graveyard of the baptist chapel at Sutton.
